  1. Good video but BEWARE you swapped the upper oil filter housing bolt and the alternator bolt when you put them back in. I followed and snapped a bolt.

  2. E10 E11 E12 – BMW is not only using an odd bolt head, made sure there are 3 different sizes for the 4 bolts. Nice. I would personally strangle the idiot engineer who designed it like that. No, scratch that, cover him with honey, tie his hands and legs and let about 20000 ants go at him. Slow and extremely painful death.
    it is probably a good idea to replace these idiotic bolts with a set of normal bolts or if you want to do fancy, Allen bolts. Like it was supposed to be from day 1.

  3. I may be wrong but shouldn’t you drain oil and coolant first? I started this based on your video and some others I saw but as I started removing the lower screw coolant leaked out. I didn’t continue, based on other research it’s safest to drain both oil and coolant.
