Interesting. I’m getting some people saying metal intake is better than plastic and some saying plastic is better the metal. After enough thorough research. It seems that plastic is the better insulator of the two (keeping heat out) and not transferring heat as easily. But metal is the better dissipater of heat, cooling off a lot quicker and not holding on to heat.
The stock airbox is more than efficient🤦♂️🤡
I have a 2001 1500 keeps throwing codes for O2 sensors they have all been replaced, bank 2 upstream 3 times now it says bank 2 downstream needs to be replaced it has less than a 100 miles on it all four are new still throwing same codes I think I have replaced just about every sensor plugs, coil packs,I have taken it to two mechanics they worked on it for 5 days couldn’t figure it out didn’t even charge me labor because they are at a loss.
Any suggestions
How about pvc lol
Couldn’t you heat wrap it an aftermarket intake so reduce the heat absorption?
