youtube placeholder image

►Punch in your vehicle information to search for brake service parts, and you’ll likely be met with a host of brake pad options. There are several kinds of brake pads, and each parts manufacturer does them a little bit differently, so it pays to know what you really need. While slightly less involved, choosing a brake rotor can be similar, and not knowing what you need for your particular deriving conditions can cost you unnecessary money. To get you right the first time around, FCP Euro’s VAG Group Director, Nathan Brown, is here to take you through a grouping of all that can be ordered from FCP Euro for your European vehicle.

  1. Thanks for explaining it so well! I wasalso wondering what are brands to avoid, what is good value for money and which are the best of the best? Also, what would be recommended for offorading? As a European most of the brands mentioned are unknown to me, but I cant find much info either about brands like Hella, Febi, Stark, Vaico,…just from experience I know ABS is quite bad and tend to squeak easily, and Brembo is everywhere in motorsport so they must be good. Would be nice to known a bit more about the brands themselves

  2. Great informative vid! Do these high quality rotors last longer than most German OEM rotors? I’ve heard the OEM rotors are designed to need replacement with the pads. I figure this can be due to softer steel, or also being thinner to begin with, thus not as much thickness to lose. There seems to be much more attention paid to pad wear than rotor wear even though both wear out.

  3. Hello, First thank you very much for the information. I would like to change my car’s rotor and pads. Is there any problem buying rotor and pads from different brans. Such as Zimmerman high Carbon rotor and Ebc ceramic pads. Thanks a lot. Or if you have any suggestions. My car is Cupra and it has 185hp 430nm work. I guess 1450kg.
