that head removal wiggle and tapping head back down was atrocious! Easy to cause damage to the head deck surface that way if there isn’t any already there definitely will be there now.
This was really useful. It’s tight in a couple places, and took two people to lift the head, but otherwise completely possible to do with the engine in the car.
Doesn’t actually show the reassembly so you’ll need to watch backwards to do that ;>) You’ll need the tool to remove and reinstall the Multiair. Also buy a box of plastic rivets, you’ll undoubtedly break some.
I was excited to complete the project without any mystery parts.
I am working on a 2.4 on a 2020 Jeep right now. This video is very helpful. Thank you very much for sharing this video. God bless!
Yeah was planning to just replace the gasket but I didn’t think you have to remove all this shit lmao I will have to take out the whole engine damn
I can see why jeep mechanics say just replace the high miles engine instead of replacing the head gasket. Ive changed a few head gaskets over the years but damn! lol..this would be a huge pain in the ass doing this while the engine is in the vehicle!!😂
