  1. Well this might be the video that I needed, my VW Passat 2016 started overheating and I began doing the following steps one by one Flush the coolant system>bled the air out>replace thermostat valve>replace water pump and all hoses>replace the radiator itself. and at no point did it ever stop overheating.

Now I am looking into changing the auxiliary water pump and oil cooler but besides these 2 options I am afraid im looking at a blown head gasket, any help please?

  2. 2007 Dodge Caliber 2.0L cooling issue after a freeze. Temp swings fast (½ → ¾ → back), bubbling/rumbling after shutdown, overflow cap popped off twice. Heater hoses hot but cabin heat inconsistent.

Heat behavior: after correcting heater hose routing and burping, heat came back strong at idle and light driving. Under load or longer drives, heat would fade to lukewarm or cold, especially with higher fan speed. When heat dropped, temps would start climbing. Letting off throttle or coasting would bring temps back down, but heat wouldn’t always return.

What I’ve done: replaced both thermostats, ran with one/both removed (got worse), multiple proper burps + force-filled heater core until solid flow, flushed heater core and radiator (clean), verified radiator (behind condenser) gets hot, lower hose warms, bypassed heater core once (helped slightly short term). Had P2183 (ECT range/performance).

Current state: temp now rises toward ~½–¾ then settles back, accelerating sometimes cools it, hoses hot, radiator warm, heat still weak/inconsistent.

Not done yet: water pump, radiator cap/overflow cap replacement, or pressure test (no equipment).
Looking for input on pressure loss vs weak pump vs something else.

  3. Just had my 2015 f-150 2.7l radiator and thermostat and water pump replaced at mechanic and this is the 3rd time it’s back bc it keeps overheating. I hope they figure it out. This is why I didn’t do it myself bc I would never be able to figure out what’s causing it. $2,025 total for repairs, any knowledge of this same problem with someone on here would be greatly appreciated thank you

  4. Toyota overheat after loss coolant leak ..replaced water pump still overheats what that means?
